Visit Ol Pej, one of the largest game reserves in Africa. Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a vast reserve that covers 85,000 acres, home to over 15,000 animals, including some of Africa’s rarest and most endangered species. Meet the wildlife conservancy staff and see their daily challenges that a multitude of animals brings. If it’s not a black rhino getting caught up in barbed wire, it’s the relocation of two-thousand animals from a corner of the park newly slated for redevelopment. It's breeding animals to stop extinction and learning how to have the upper hand over wild creatures.

See this closed eco-system and meet endangered species and hunters of all kinds. Close to 60 thousand people live just outside the reserve’s boundaries. Many of them subsistence farmers who would rather not have to share the land with some of the most dangerous animals on the planet. This forced coexistence is one of the realities of conservation in modern day Africa. Constant and creative management is the key to making it work.

The series follows the behind-the-scenes actions of wildlife conservation in Ol Pej.
