Filmed from a ‘cat’s eye view’, this brand new series follows the daily lives, loves, accidents and incidents in the feline lives of six households. The series is narrated by Tamsin Greig (Black Books and Green Wing) who provides the voice of Samantha, the nosey all-seeing, all-hearing old cat. Samantha sits in her window at the top of Main Street. From here she can see everything that goes on in her tiny village, Claw Hill. This worldly feline is well plugged into the gossip hotline and will not mince her words as she leads us into the secret lives of domestic cats. By observing the resident cats in their homes, patrolling the streets and exploring their relationships with their owners and other cats, viewers will begin to understand what motivates our feline friends. From turf wars to trips to the vet, viewers will experience entertaining storylines, plus informative, scientific data lays bare the complex world of cat behaviour.

Samantha will introduce us to some of the most colourful characters in the cat world, including Sickly Smithy who is allergic to cat food, the mad, biting Brian and larger than life Maurice, the Muncher whose appetite has most of his neighbours running scared. The series reflects on the highs and lows of our colourful characters and above all is packed with fascinating and useful information for all cat lovers out there to make sure both house cats and their two-legged carers get maximum enjoyment from one of the most rewarding human/animal relationships in the world.
