Beyond Survival with Les Stroud
As Survivorman, Les Stroud spent years filming himself in the most remote locations on earth. This time around Les becomes the student as he travels to meet the world’s last indigenous tribes to learn some of mankind’s most time-tested survival techniques. Before the indigenous know-hows and rituals vanish forever, Stroud experiences their cultures and imparts some of the wisdom that has helped humans flourish in the wild for thousands of years.
Les Stroud travels to South Africa to join the Zulu, one of the most legendary tribes in Africa and among the world’s greatest masters of survival.
Then he treks deep into the Kalahari desert to learn from the original masters of survival, the San Bushmen, a unique tribe believed to be the closest living descendants of the first humans. He also heads into open waters with the Sea Gypsies of Malaysia to spearfish in shark-filled seas, and survive in a world of water, where storms and tsunamis threaten to wipe out the tribe, forever.
Increasingly under threat, the traditional way of life for these tribes is changing and fast. Witness the most unbelievable survival rites and rituals on the planet. Go beyond survival with Les Stroud.
