The Florida Everglades. High up in a tree, Shawn Heflick crawls gingerly along a dead branch towards an 18ft, 150lb Burmese Python. Suddenly there’s a crack, the branch, python, and Shawn fall 20ft into the water below. Just as things couldn’t get any worse... two big alligators slip into the swamp. Over the past few decades, thousands of Burmese pythons have invaded the Florida Everglades. With no natural predators here, these dangerous invaders from Southeast Asia are slowly taking over, threatening this fragile eco-system, attacking animals and causing havoc to public safety.

Hired by wildlife officials to get their numbers under control, meet the Python Hunters — Sean, Greg, and Michael are an elite squad of snake hunters who risk life and limb in one of the most beautiful and deadly environments on the planet.
