Modern cities weren’t built from scratch. At those times anyone scarcely cared that people invade the living space of wild animals. These series covering four world capitals (New York City, Paris, Tokio and Toronto) will tell us whether the peaceful coexhistence is possible between nature and urban jungles and what shapes does it take.

You’ll learn that one can pick a good honey harvest on the roof of Paris Opera and the falcons successfully nest and breed amongst the bas-reliefs of Triumphal Arch. Toronto is full of unique dark squirrels that can’t be seen anywhere in the world and racoons feel themselves comfortable in this Canadian megapolis. In New Yourk you may meet peacocks walking in the city center and telegraph poles in Tokio are attracting parrots not pigeons.

Everu city has its own way of interaction between its citizens and nature. Apart from contrasting the authers are trying to prove that the nature will have its course. There is no sense in confrontation. The best way is to learn to live in harmony with nature. This is the guarantee of successful development of all modern cities.
