What is luxury? “Excess in pleasures associated with waste,” as the explanatory dictionary assures? But after all, each of us has his own ideas about both pleasures and the price that can be paid for them. For some luxury is a lifestyle, for others it is a desire to improve their social status, for others still it is just a dream of an unrealizable. But almost without exception there is a burning desire to learn as much as possible about the alluring and intriguing world of luxury. “Planet Luxury” is an exciting journey through countries and continents in search of the most, in the truest sense of the word, expensive. This is luxury in all its manifestations: from the collectible 1926 Macallan whiskey, for a bottle of which they are ready to shell out $ 75,000 on a sober head; to the luxurious Rolls Royce Phantom, which will cost its lucky owner half a million dollars.
