The sun on its journey around the Equator, nurturing incredible and exotic habitats. The Equatorial sun rises on the steamy jungles of Indonesia, and as the world spins the sun burns with incredible intensity on the mouth of the mighty Amazon... on a glacier on Mount Kenya... on beautiful Pacific atolls... before finally setting over the Galapagos Islands.

In six episodes each of the major equatorial regions are explored, the Pacific, South East Asia, the Indian Ocean, Africa, the Amazon and the Andes. From tiny atolls surrounded by a million miles of ocean, to steaming jungles, swamps, deserts and snow-capped peaks. A television event of epic proportions, Equator explores regions linked by forces of nature but extreme in their diversity.
