Sheltered In Oaks

The forests of oaks located in Ilam Province are shelters for this little animal. There are many dangers by human beings during its life such as it may be haunted or its living place may be destroyed.

Human’s presence has a very negative impact on the lifestyle of the Iranian squirrel. Even the fleeting presence of a group of people changes the habitat of squirrels. And cutting down oak forests threatens to leave them without shelter.
