It’s the way science should have been taught in school! ExperiMental tackles every imaginable branch of science in an approachable way. It’s hard facts made fun through oddball experiments.

ExperiMental goes in search of the craziest experiments ever performed and discovers the science behind them. We are answering important questions like… Why do fish fart at night? Can you cool food with sound? And why is yawning contagious?

We meet the scientists and recreate these bizarre experiments, many of which play an important role in genuine scientific research. ExperiMental tackles every imaginable branch of science in a populist way. It’s amaze-your-friends facts and hard core science made fun through hands-on, oddball experiments.

Each half-hour show contains several experiment-centred stories. We start with a teasing question. Can you run a train on meat? What’s the worst sound in the world? Why haven’t fainting goats become extinct? And watch passionate scientists undertake the experiments that will deliver answers. Finally, there’s a “WOW” conclusion as we find out what effect the experiment might have on the real world.

Between each story, we cut to mad science and quirky experiments in our very own Test Department. How do you fry an egg without using a pan? What is the secret to the perfect sandcastle?

ExperiMental is irreverent, brash, and sometimes silly but always firmly rooted in science. It’s bursting with energy and pace. Science with a grain of truth... Science with style
