Their new Bernese/Retriever puppy Sadie is a farm dog tasked to be a natural alarm when predators like bears, coyotes and cougars pass through. Sixteen-year-old Brandon has threatened to leave if this yapping, cat-terrorizing puppy stays; his sister won't stay if her puppy goes. A once harmonious family is on the verge of breaking up if things don't change fast!

Kim and Trent are worried. One-year-old Durnin has ripped apart their couch, chewed pipes and wires, destroyed Kim's shoes, and jumps against the glass doors and could break them.
